Summary box: Molson Coors 1 q (AP)

BOTTOM LINE: Net first-quarter income Molson Coors Brewing Co. has dropped from 21% to $ 82.9 million, or 44 cents per share. The decline is the result of the increase in cost of ingredients and shipping.

Highest price: income increased 4% to 690.4 million because of the increase in prices and drinkers more trading up to higher beer prices.

EXPECTATIONS: the adjusted net profit was 43 cents per share. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected 44 cents per share on revenues of 690.5 million.
